Russia says it intercepted all Ukrainian guided bombs
09 October 2025 13:57
The Russian Ministry of Defence has said in its daily briefing that Ukrainian forces launched several guided aerial bombs at Russian targets, but all were intercepted by air defence systems.
According to the ministry, four guided bombs were used in the attempted strike, though it did not specify the type of munitions or the intended targets, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Ukraine’s Armed Forces are known to employ French-made Hammer guided bombs and US-supplied JSOW precision munitions, both of which have a flight range of around 64 kilometres. Military analysts have also noted that Ukraine could use JDAM bombs for similar strikes, launched from Su-24 aircraft and potentially from F-16 fighter jets.
