Russia says it shot down 215 Ukrainian drones in overnight attacks

Russia’s Ministry of Defence said its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 215 Ukrainian drones during a large-scale overnight attack spanning multiple regions of the country.
In a statement released on May 2, the ministry said the interceptions took place between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on May 1 and 8:00 a.m. on May 2, Caliber.Az reports.
The drones were reportedly downed across a wide geographic area, including the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Novgorod, Oryol, Pskov, Rostov, Smolensk, Tver, and Tula regions, as well as the Moscow region and the Krasnodar region.
According to the statement, aerial targets were also intercepted over Crimea and above the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
