Russia says it shot down 286 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russia’s air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 286 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple regions of the country, as well as over the Azov and Black Seas, according to the Russian Defence Ministry.

In a statement, the ministry said the attacks took place between 20:00 local time on May 12 and 07:00 on May 13, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

Russian officials said the unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov, Tambov, Yaroslavl, Oryol, Tula, Kaluga, Ryazan and Astrakhan regions, as well as Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Kalmykia.
