Russia says it shot down 301 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russian air defence systems destroyed 301 Ukrainian drones overnight, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.

In a statement, the ministry said the drones were intercepted between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on June 21 and 7:00 a.m. on June 22, Caliber.Az reports. 

Russian forces said the aerial targets were downed over multiple regions, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Rostov, Tambov, Tver, Tula, and Smolensk, as well as the Moscow region.

The ministry also reported interceptions over Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Crimea, and over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas.
