Russia says it shot down 44 Ukrainian drones in two hours

Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 44 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) within a two-hour period, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.

“On June 17, between 07:00 and 09:00 Moscow Time, air defence systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 44 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of the Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Tula, Tver, Ryazan, and Voronezh regions, the Moscow region, the Krasnodar Krai, and over the Black Sea,” the ministry said, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

The statement did not provide details on potential damage or casualties resulting from the attempted drone attacks.
