Russia says it struck Kremenchuk oil refinery in Ukraine

Russian forces struck an oil refinery in Kremenchuk, Poltava region, during a large-scale attack using precision-guided weapons, Russia’s Defence Ministry said.

The ministry said the refinery was involved in supplying fuel and lubricants to Ukraine’s armed forces and handling petroleum products arriving from abroad.

“In the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region, [Russian forces struck] an oil refinery supplying fuel and lubricants to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as involved in the handling of petroleum products arriving from abroad,” the Defence Ministry said, according to TASS.

The ministry also said a drone assembly workshop and a nitrate production facility in Illichivsk, Odesa region, were hit. According to the ministry, the facilities were involved in meeting the needs of Ukraine’s armed forces.
