Russia says its air forces downed 249 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russia’s Defence Ministry has said that its air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 249 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones during the night between 23:00 on November 24 and 07:00 local on November 25. 

According to the ministry’s statement, most of the drones were shot down over the Black Sea and Russia’s southern regions, Caliber.Az reports. 

The ministry said 116 drones were destroyed over the Black Sea and 76 over Krasnodar Krai. Another 23 were reportedly intercepted over Crimea, 16 over Rostov Oblast, and seven over Bryansk Oblast. Smaller numbers were recorded elsewhere, including four over Kursk region, four over the Sea of Azov, two over Belgorod region, and one over Lipetsk region.
