Russia sees decline in vodka, cognac, and wine sales in 2025

Official vodka sales in Russia fell in 2025, RIA Novosti reported, citing data from the Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation (Rosalkogolkontrol).
Vodka sales declined by 3.6% compared with 2024, reaching 73.315 million decalitres. Cognac sales fell 9.2% to 12.853 million decalitres, while grape wine, liqueur, and sparkling wine sales also decreased. Low-alcohol beverages experienced the steepest drop, falling 87.3% to 1.526 million decalitres.
In contrast, sales of liqueur-vodka products rose 12.7% to 18.808 million decalitres.
Overall, Russia’s total alcohol sales decreased 9.3% in 2025, amounting to 205.798 million decalitres.
