Russia sends 13 tons of medical supplies to Iran via Azerbaijan
A special aircraft from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations is set to deliver medical supplies to Azerbaijan for onward transfer to Iran.
The announcement was made by the ministry’s press service, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“Under the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin and by the order of the Minister of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov, the ministry’s aviation has organized the delivery of medical supplies to the Republic of Azerbaijan for subsequent transfer to authorized representatives of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the ministry said.
A total of 13 tons of medical supplies will be delivered as part of this humanitarian aid operation, intended to support Iran in meeting urgent medical needs.
