Russia shoots down 27 Ukrainian drones in three hours

Russian air defence units intercepted and destroyed 27 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones between 12:00 and 15:00 Moscow time on February 23.

The Russian Ministry of Defence detailed the locations of the interceptions: 13 drones over Belgorod region, five over the Sea of Azov, four over Krasnodar Krai, two over Kursk region, two over the Republic of Crimea, and one over the Black Sea.

Earlier today, the ministry said Russian air defence forces destroyed 541 Ukrainian drones over the past day.

The military also shot down seven aerial bombs, 21 rockets from the American HIMARS system, and a Neptune long-range guided missile.
