Russia shoots down 71 Ukrainian drones across nine regions

On the night of July 19, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that its air defence forces successfully intercepted and destroyed 71 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeting multiple regions across Russia.

The Ministry specified that the largest number of drones—24—were downed over the Rostov region. The Moscow region saw 16 drones intercepted, including 13 that were reportedly heading towards the capital. Other regions affected included Bryansk, where 11 drones were shot down; Kaluga, with 10; Kursk, three; and Oryol, Tula, and Lipetsk regions, each with two UAVs destroyed. One drone was also downed over Krasnodar Krai.
