Russia shoots down nearly 2,000 Ukrainian drones in one week

Russian forces have intercepted and destroyed at least 1,904 Ukrainian drones over the country during the past week, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, as cited by the outlet, air defence systems destroyed 693 drones, 12 guided bombs, three HIMARS rocket projectiles, and two Ukrainian Neptune long-range missiles over the past 24 hours.

“Air defence systems intercepted 12 guided aerial bombs, three U.S.-made HIMARS rockets, two Neptune long-range guided missiles, and 693 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles,” the ministry said.
