29 July 2026 11:22

Russian forces struck military cargo storage facilities and fuel and lubricant reservoirs at the Ukrainian port of Mykolaiv, as well as two dry cargo vessels carrying military supplies at sea east of Odesa, on the evening of July 28 and overnight into July 29, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Telegram.

According to the ministry, the vessels were carrying weapons and military equipment bound for the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk.

The Russian Defence Ministry also reported that the country’s air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 295 Ukrainian drones overnight on July 29.

The Ukrainian drones were detected over eight regions — Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Rostov, and Ryazan — as well as over the Krasnodar region, the Republic of Chuvashia, the Republic of Tatarstan, and the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side announced that Russia attacked the country overnight on July 29 using 80 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas-type UAVs, as well as Banderol loitering munitions and Parody-type decoy drones.

According to preliminary data, Ukrainian air defences shot down or suppressed 65 UAVs. Hits by 14 strike drones were recorded at 10 locations, while debris from downed drones fell at two locations.

“The attack continues, with several Russian UAVs remaining in Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety rules!” the Ukrainian Armed Forces said.
