Russia strikes “Tarantul” in Ukraine’s Odesa region

Russia has carried out a strike on a Tarantul-class patrol boat in the port of Odesa, Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defence has said.

The ministry noted that Russian strike drones targeted several sites overnight on August 17, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the ministry, a pier terminal in the Ukrainian port of Izmail that handled the unloading of military cargo has also been hit.

The strikes targeted a pier terminal used to unload vessels carrying military cargo, hangars containing Western military equipment and warehouses storing unmanned boats, according to the ministry.

The Tarantul-class boat, in the port of Odesa, was used to protect vessels at sea and during unloading operations, as well as fuel tanks.
