Russia to unveil cutting-edge weaponry at Serbia’s Partner-2025 expo

22 September 2025 18:13

Russia is set to showcase a broad array of its latest military innovations at the upcoming Partner-2025 international defence fair in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.

Among the centerpieces of its presentation will be the T-90MS main battle tank, a symbol of Russia’s continuing drive to modernize its ground forces. The announcement was made by the press service of Rosoboronexport, the state agency responsible for the export of Russian defence equipment and services, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Russia’s exhibit will feature several high-profile debuts across a wide spectrum of military capabilities. These include the Kornet-EM, an advanced anti-tank guided missile system equipped with a remote-control firing module, and the Berezhok combat module, designed to enhance the firepower and situational awareness of armored vehicles.

Small arms and infantry support weapons will also figure prominently in the display. Visitors will have the opportunity to view updated versions of the AK-15 assault rifle, as well as the RPL-7 and RPL-20 belt-fed light machine guns. The Chukavin sniper rifle—Russia’s latest addition to its precision marksmanship arsenal—will also be on display, along with other firearms tailored for modern battlefield requirements.

The Russian aerospace industry will be represented by two headline aircraft: the Yak-130M, a newly modernized variant of the combat training aircraft, and the Checkmate, a light fifth-generation tactical fighter designed for versatility and cost-effective deployment. The latter is viewed as a potential game-changer for countries seeking advanced airpower without the prohibitive costs associated with heavier multirole jets.

A key focus of Russia’s presentation will be its advancements in counter-UAV technologies, which have become a strategic priority for modern armed forces. In response to the increasing use of unmanned aerial systems in contemporary conflicts, Rosoboronexport emphasized that it will present air defence systems that have demonstrated operational effectiveness in live combat environments.
