Russia, UAE hold talks on Middle East and Sudan conflict
Russia and the United Arab Emirates have discussed the situation in the Middle East during a phone call between senior officials, with both sides also addressing cooperation related to the conflict in Sudan.
According to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, cited by TASS, Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Borisenko and UAE Minister of State Sheikh Shakhboot Al Nahyan held the conversation at the initiative of Abu Dhabi.
“The situation in the Middle East and cooperation between our countries in the interest of overcoming the internal conflict in Sudan were discussed,” the ministry said.
The talks focused on regional developments as well as coordination between Moscow and Abu Dhabi aimed at addressing the ongoing internal crisis in Sudan.
