Russia urges US, Iran to resume dialogue amid regional instability
Russia supports efforts by the United States and Iran to find common ground and begin serious work toward a settlement, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organisations in Vienna, has stated.
He warned that failure to do so would leave the situation tense and dangerous, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"The Americans and the Iranians must find some way out of the situation; otherwise, the environment will remain extremely tense, unstable and dangerous,” he noted.
According to him, the sides should find common ground and begin serious work.
“So far, that serious work either does not begin or is interrupted without any substantial reason. Altogether, it looks rather unserious, but we hope the situation will improve," Ulyanov told reporters.
