Russia warns Netherlands over "hostile steps" after Germany drone incident

Russia has warned the Netherlands that it will respond to any possible “hostile steps” related to a drone incident in Germany, while accusing The Hague of bearing part of the responsibility for the current crisis due to its support for Kyiv.

“The Hague should recognize its share of responsibility for the current crisis due to its support for Kyiv,” the Russian Embassy in the Netherlands said.

The warning comes amid an investigation in Germany into a drone attack at Leipzig Airport, with authorities having identified two suspects in connection with the incident.

According to the investigation, one of the suspects is a Belarusian citizen who holds a Russian passport, while the second is a dual citizen of Russia and Latvia.

The circumstances surrounding the incident and the suspects’ alleged involvement remain under investigation.
