Russian aerospace chief's son-in-law killed in Moscow restaurant blast PHOTO / VIDEO

Daniil Peredriy, the son-in-law of Russian Aerospace Forces Commander-in-Chief Alexander Chayko, was killed in the explosion outside the Balzi Rossi Italian restaurant in Moscow on August 1, according to independent Russian outlet Agentstvo.

The outlet said Peredriy's death was confirmed through entries in Russia's Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs, which state that his sole proprietorship was terminated on August 1 “due to death.” 

The outlet also reported that one of Peredriy's personal identity documents was invalidated on the same day, although it did not specify which document.

On the evening of August 1, an improvised explosive device detonated outside the Balzi Rossi restaurant, located in a high-rise on Kudrinskaya Square in central Moscow. According to reports, the intended targets may have been guests attending an event believed to mark the 55th birthday of Alexander Chayko, who was appointed commander of the Russian Aerospace Forces in May.
