Russian air defence shoots down 69 Ukrainian drones overnight
Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 69 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight, the Ministry of Defence reported on its Telegram channel.
Of these, 16 drones were shot down over the Rostov region, 15 each over the Samara and Saratov regions, 13 over Crimea, three each over the Volgograd and Kursk regions, and two over the Voronezh region. One drone was shot down over each of the Belgorod and Bryansk regions.
In the morning, the governor of Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported the destruction of a Ukrainian drone over the region. He added that there were no casualties or damage on the ground.
The governor of Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, also confirmed that there were no casualties or destruction as a result of the drone attacks. He noted that drones had been shot down over two districts of the region but did not specify which ones.
In response to the drone attacks overnight, flights at the airports in Tambov, Saratov, Penza, Samara, and Ulyanovsk were temporarily suspended.
