Russia reports downing 53 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russia’s air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 53 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian territory overnight.

“During the past night, from 21:00 on May 5 to 07:00 on May 6, on-duty air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 53 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles,” the country’s Defence Ministry said in a statement, as reported by Russian media.
