Russian air defences down 56 Ukrainian drones in overnight operations
Russian air defence forces have destroyed 56 Ukrainian drones over various regions of Russia during the night, the country’s Ministry of Defence said.
The operation took place in the Voronezh, Rostov, and Belgorod regions, highlighting the ongoing drone conflict in the area, Caliber.Az reports.
The Voronezh region saw the destruction of 28 UAVs, while 17 were downed over Rostov, and 11 over Belgorod.
The drone attack in the Belgorod region targeted the Krasnogvardeysky district, where two individuals were reported injured in the village of Palatovo. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed that the village of Verkhososna was left without power due to damage sustained by a power line during the attack.
In Voronezh, the destruction of UAVs caused significant disruption to the railway network, with debris from the drones damaging the contact network and resulting in delays to train services.
