Russian air defences down 64 Ukrainian drones overnight, ministry says
The Russian Ministry of Defence said that its air defence systems intercepted a total of 64 Ukrainian UAVs during an overnight attack.
In a statement, the ministry stated that the highest number — 20 drones — was intercepted over the Samara region. Eight drones were shot down each over the Voronezh and Saratov regions, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the ministry, seven UAVs were intercepted over the Moscow region, including five that were flying toward the capital. Six drones were downed over the Ryazan region and another six over the Rostov region. Air defences also destroyed three UAVs over the Tula region and two over the Belgorod region.
One drone was intercepted over each of the Kursk, Kaluga, Penza, and Tambov regions, the statement said.
