Russian air defences down 79 Ukrainian drones overnight
The Russian Armed Forces' air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 79 drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces overnight, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced.
The Ukrainian forces deployed aeroplane-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in an attack that lasted from 23:00 on February 23 to 07:00 on February 24, Caliber.Az reports per the ministry’s Telegram channel.
The highest number of targets—21—were destroyed over the Belgorod region, according to the ministry.
Fifteen drones were downed in the Krasnodar region and another 15 over the Black Sea. Eleven UAVs were destroyed over Crimea, nine over the Sea of Azov, and five in the Saratov region. Single targets were neutralised in the Kursk and Rostov regions, and the Republic of Adygea.
