Russian air defences down tenth drone approaching Moscow

Russian air defence systems have shot down a tenth drone approaching Moscow, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said, as authorities continue to respond to repeated aerial threats targeting the capital.

In a statement, Sobyanin said the unmanned aerial vehicle was intercepted by air defence forces operated by the Ministry of Defence before reaching the city.

“Air defence forces of the Ministry of Defence destroyed a UAV flying toward Moscow. Emergency services specialists are working at the site where the debris fell,” he said.
