Russian air defences intercept dozens of drones over Rostov
Russia’s Rostov region came under a large-scale overnight drone attack, with more than 30 unmanned aerial vehicles intercepted across 12 districts, according to regional governor Yury Slyusar.
He reported via Telegram that UAVs targeted multiple areas, including Millerovsky, Tarasovsky, Kamensky, Belokalitvinsky, Milyutinsky, Chertkovsky, Oblivsky, Verkhnedonskoy, Sholokhovsky, Azovsky, Neklinovsky, and Aksaysky districts.
While authorities confirmed the alert situation remains in effect, no information on casualties or damage has been received so far, with assessments still ongoing.
In a broader development over the same night, Russia’s Defence Ministry stated that air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 347 Ukrainian drones over various regions of the country, as well as above the Azov, Caspian, and Black Seas, indicating a widespread aerial engagement across multiple operational zones.
