Russian air defences down 69 Ukrainian drones in overnight attack

Dozens of drones were launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine overnight from April 8 to 9, targeting Russian territory, with air defence systems intercepting and destroying a total of 69 aerial vehicles over several regions, according to the country's Ministry of Defence.

The attacks affected the Kursk and Astrakhan regions, as well as the Krasnodar Territory, while additional drones were shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

All the intercepted drones were of the fixed-wing type, the ministry added.
