21 April 2026 15:45
Yevgeny Kapiev, chief executive of the Russian publishing house Eksmo, has been detained in Moscow in connection with a criminal investigation under legislation related to the organisation of an "extremist group."
Law enforcement authorities are conducting searches at multiple locations as part of the ongoing investigation. Officials have indicated that the case may be linked to the publisher’s production and distribution of materials deemed extremist under Russian law, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
Law enforcement sources allege that the company’s management organised the distribution of literature with "LGBT themes" among minors.
