Russian court detains teenager after knife attack on Indian students
A court in the Russian city of Ufa has ordered a 15-year-old boy into pre-trial detention following a knife attack on students at a university dormitory.
The teenager will remain in custody until April 7. He was taken into detention directly from the courtroom after the ruling. His lawyer said the defence would later consider whether to appeal the decision, Caliber.Az reports via TASS.
The attack occurred on February 7 at a dormitory of a medical university on Repina Street in Ufa, according to earlier reports. The suspect allegedly attacked several students with a knife, injuring four people. The victims were identified as Indian nationals.
