Russian deputy PM calls for maximum support to protect energy facilities

Russian federal ministries and regional authorities should provide maximum support for protecting the country’s fuel and energy infrastructure and restoring oil refineries, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov has said.

Speaking at the subcommittee meeting, he stated that the same applies to the restoration of damaged plants, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

“We must look beyond the operations of individual refineries. The reliability of fuel processing and supplies directly affects transport, agriculture, industry, the northern supply programme, housing and utilities, and the functioning of the economy as a whole,” Manturov added.

According to the report, the subcommittee on ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of certain sectors of the economy discussed the sustainable operation of the fuel market, including the protection of fuel and energy facilities.
