Russian drone snags power lines, plunging five Odesa villages into blackout

Five settlements in Ukraine’s Odesa region were left without electricity after a Russian drone became tangled in power lines, according to the operational headquarters of the Izmail District State Administration.

“During the night of May 29, the Izmail district once again came under Russian attack. Thanks to the effective work of the air defence forces, there were no casualties or damage. 

However, near the village of Nahirne, a Russian UAV became entangled in power transmission lines while in flight. As a result, five settlements in the community are temporarily without electricity. Relevant services are currently working to restore the power supply,” the statement said.
