Russian envoy suggests Iran consider similar special role for Moscow
Russia’s Permanent Representative to international organisations in Vienna has suggested that Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bahar Ghalibaf could be assigned a similar role overseeing relations with Moscow, following his appointment as special envoy for China.
“Isn’t it equelly relevant to think about something similar in relations with Russia?” Permanent Representative of Russia to International Organisations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said on X, Caliber.Az reports.

On May 17 Ghalibaf had been appointed by President Masoud Pezeshkian as supervisor of relations with China, with the decision reportedly approved by Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
