Russian fan sues over $8,300 Kanye West concert tickets

A purchaser of four tickets for a planned Kanye West concert in St. Petersburg has filed a lawsuit seeking a refund of 704,000 roubles ($8,300), along with additional compensation and penalties.

The claim was registered with Moscow’s Preobrazhensky District Court on September 22, according to the press office of Moscow’s courts of general jurisdiction, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.

The defendants are listed as Say Agency LLC, the event organiser, and Intickets LLC, which received the payment from the purchaser.

The four tickets were bought for the “YE Concert in St Petersburg”, scheduled for October 10, 2026, at Gazprom Arena. The tickets cost 640,000 roubles ($7,550), rising to 704,000 roubles ($8,300) after service charges.

The purchaser believes the concert will not take place and has demanded a refund. After failing to receive the money voluntarily, he turned to the court.

In addition to the ticket cost, the claimant is seeking a penalty, 100,000 roubles ($1,180) in compensation for non-pecuniary damage, a fine equivalent to 50% of the amount awarded by the court, and legal costs.
