Russian forces destroy 655 drones, seven cruise missiles in 24 hours
Russian air defence systems intercepted seven Flamingo long-range cruise missiles and 655 fixed-wing drones operated by Ukrainian forces over the past 24 hours, TASS reports, citing Russia’s Defence Ministry.
“Air defence systems shot down 11 guided aerial bombs, eight HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system projectiles manufactured in the United States, seven Flamingo long-range cruise missiles, and 655 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles,” the ministry said.
The ministry also updated its cumulative figures since the start of what Moscow describes as its special military operation.
According to the statement, Russian forces have destroyed 673 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 186,190 unmanned aerial vehicles, 667 surface-to-air missile systems, 30,239 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1,762 multiple-launch rocket system combat vehicles, 35,842 field artillery guns and mortars, and 67,057 units of special military automotive equipment.
