Russian forces down seven Ukrainian drones over southern regions
Russia’s air defence forces shot down seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles during the night of December 27 over southern Russia, the Russian Ministry of Defence said.
According to the ministry, on-duty air defence systems intercepted and destroyed four drones over Krasnodar Krai and three over the Republic of Adygea. The Defence Ministry specified that all seven were fixed-wing UAVs.
“In the course of the past night, on-duty air defence systems destroyed seven Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles: four UAVs over the territory of Krasnodar Krai and three UAVs over the territory of the Republic of Adygea,” the ministry said in a statement published on its Telegram channel.
Earlier, the Defence Ministry reported that 24 Ukrainian drones had been destroyed over the territory of occupied Crimea and over the waters of the Black Sea between 13:00 and 17:00 Moscow time on December 26.
