Russian helicopter catches interest of foreign customers in Chinese defence fair
Participants and visitors of China’s largest airshow in the city of Zhuhai in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong showed a keen interest in Russian combat helicopters exhibited by the state arms seller Rosoboronexport, Russia’s embassy in China said on November 10.
"A large interest at the airshow has been displayed in Russian Ka-52 and Mi-28NE military helicopters and also Mi-171Sh rotorcraft that have proven their excellent combat capabilities under real conditions," the diplomatic mission said in a statement, TASS reports.
At its stand at the Airshow China 2022, Rosoboronexport is also showcasing a full range of Russian military aircraft, including the Su-57E fifth-generation fighter, the Su-35 multirole super-manoeuvrable fighter, the Su-34E fighter-bomber, and the MiG-35 multirole fighter in single- and dual-pilot configurations.
In addition, Rosoboronexport showcases the S-400 Triumf long-range and S-350E Vityaz medium-range air defence systems, the Tor-E2 short-range surface-to-air missile system, Verba man-portable air defence systems, as well as a variety of automated command and control systems for air defence units.
This year, over 740 companies from 43 countries and regions of the world are demonstrating their output at the Airshow China, which opened on November 8 and will run through November 13. Over the period of its work, about 100 aircraft and other aviation equipment will be on display. Russia is represented by Rosoboronexport at the Airshow China 2022.
The previous Airshow China that ran on September 28 - October 3, 2021, was initially expected to be held in November 2020 but was delayed over the COVID-19 pandemic.
