Russian military shoots down 13 Ukrainian drones over various regions

The Russian military announced on January 2 that it had successfully destroyed 13 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory during the night.

The strike comes amid heightened tensions between the two countries, as drone attacks continue to be a focal point of the conflict, Caliber.Az reports.

According to a report by the Russian Ministry of Defence, 13 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted and destroyed by air defence systems. The targets included regions across Russia, with specific reports indicating that one drone was shot down over the Voronezh region, three over the Belgorod region, four over the Bryansk region, four over the Kursk region, and one over the Kaluga region.
