Russian missile strike damages houses, solar facility in Ukraine's Odesa PHOTO
Russian forces carried out a missile strike on the southern part of Ukraine’s Odesa region on June 12, leaving several people injured. One missile struck a residential area, while another damaged solar panels at an industrial facility, head of Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper announced.
According to Kiper, Russian forces launched another attack on civilian infrastructure in the area.
“On the south of the region, a missile hit a private residential sector,” Kiper said.
As a result of the strike, three residential houses caught fire, while another three were damaged. According to the regional administration, two people sustained shrapnel wounds and are receiving medical assistance.
Another missile strike damaged solar panels at the premises of an enterprise, with no casualties reported in that incident, Kiper added.
Emergency services, including rescuers and medics, are currently working at the scene. Information on the consequences of the attack and the number of injured is still being clarified.
The regional administration also published photos showing the aftermath of the Russian strike in southern Odesa region.
