Russian official: Moscow committed to equal partnership
Russian Presidential Administration Deputy Head Maxim Oreshkin has said that the country is committed to building partnerships based on equality and sovereignty, arguing that Moscow does not seek to dominate other countries.
Speaking at the plenary session of the International Transport and Logistics Forum, Oreshkin said Russia’s approach to international cooperation is distinct, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
He stated that no other country currently offers cooperation “on such principles of equality” aimed at preserving the sovereignty of its partners.
“Russia has no intention of subjugating its partners,” Oreshkin said. “A strong partner is far more important to us than a partner dependent on us.”
He added that Moscow is prepared to provide what he described as tools to help partner countries strengthen their own capacities, arguing that Russia feels “stronger and more confident” when working alongside independent and capable states.
