Russian official slams Western disrespect toward political leaders
Press secretary for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov has said that disrespectful attitudes towards political leaders have become commonplace in Western society.
Commenting on reports that US Vice President Kamala Harris had made disparaging remarks about President Putin in private conversations, Peskov noted that such behavior has become a habit among Western politicians, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
"This is a common practice within the US political establishment," he stated.
In an interview with SiriusXM, Harris referred to Putin as a dictator while discussing Donald Trump and his interactions with Russia.
Earlier, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Aleksei Chepa has commented that the insults directed at Russian President Vladimir Putin by Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris reflect her level of intelligence and a sense of hopelessness.
He characterised her remarks as irresponsible and cynical. Earlier, Harris accused Trump of a desire to abandon Ukraine for the sake of Putin.
