Russian President Putin concludes two-day visit to China

Russian President Vladimir Putin has concluded an official visit to China, after agreeing with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on energy-related projects.

He boarded his aircraft and departed from Beijing, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Earlier, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said the two sides also agreed on “something else very important”, without providing further details.

Putin arrived in Beijing on May 19.

At the airport, he was welcomed by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the country’s second most recognisable political figure after Xi Jinping.

The following day, he held talks with Xi Jinping and also met with Premier of the State Council Li Qiang.
