Russian propagandist Tigran Keosayan dies after nine months in coma
Russian propagandist, film director and television presenter, Tigran Keosayan, has died at the age of 59 after spending nine months in a coma.
His wife Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of propagandist RT and the Russia Today media group, confirmed, Caliber.Az reports.
Simonyan announced his death on the messaging platform Telegram, writing: “Tonight, Tigran went to the Creator. Thank you to everyone who prayed. Please do not call me or my family at this time. Thank you all, thank you.”
Keosayan had been in a coma since January 2025 and had remained unconscious since. He was first hospitalised in December 2024. His condition was linked to chronic heart issues—he had previously suffered two heart attacks in 2008 and 2010.
Throughout his hospitalisation, Simonyan had regularly provided updates on his health.
