Russian rapper Djigan sent to Israel rehab after reported shooting PHOTO

Russian rapper Djigan reportedly spent more than 2 million roubles ($ 23,800) on treatment at a private rehabilitation facility in Israel after an incident in which he allegedly opened fire on his security guards at his home in the Moscow region.

According to SHOT, the incident occurred in early July at the rapper’s house in the Chateau Sovereign cottage settlement. Djigan was reportedly intoxicated when he opened fire with a pneumatic weapon resembling a Saiga-9.

Witnesses cited by the outlet said the rapper believed that people around him were enemies and were acting against him. One security guard was reportedly wounded in the arm and leg.

SHOT also reported that Djigan kept staff inside the house for about 10 hours, while his children hid and informed their mother about what was happening.

Oksana Samoilova, who was in Italy at the time, eventually arrived at the scene, along with security personnel from the residential complex and the rapper’s friends. Djigan was reportedly restrained and sent to Israel for treatment.

The injured security personnel did not file a police complaint, according to the report.

Djigan is now undergoing a basic addiction-treatment programme that reportedly costs around ₽2 million. The rehabilitation could be extended if specialists identify more serious underlying problems.

People close to the rapper reportedly believe that his treatment and growing interest in Judaism may be attempts to reconcile with Samoilova and restore their family.
