Russian security chief arrives in Baghdad

Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu has arrived in Baghdad for a working visit, during which he will hold meetings with Iraq’s top political and military leadership.

The agenda includes Moscow’s intention to further strengthen and expand cooperation with Baghdad in the field of security, Caliber.Az reports, the Russian Security Council press service.

In addition to bilateral relations, regional issues will also be discussed.

Shoigu noted that Russia and Iraq are long-standing partners, bound by traditionally friendly and mutually beneficial ties.
