Russian strikes leave Odessa residents without electricity, 5 injured
Russian forces struck Ukraine’s port city of Odessa overnight with drones, causing damage to residential buildings and critical infrastructure, authorities said.
Five people were injured, including three children, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
Serhiy Lysak, head of Odessa’s military administration, said the victims included a 42-year-old man in serious condition, a seven-month-old baby, a 14-year-old teenager, and an eight-year-old girl, all in moderate condition.
All the injured have been taken to the hospital.
The attack hit high-rise apartment blocks in two districts, with one building catching fire in several flats.
Parts of the city are currently without electricity, and repair work on essential infrastructure has temporarily disrupted water and heating supplies for some residents.
Emergency services and municipal crews are continuing to restore services and ensure safety.
