Russian Su-57 jet gets cutting-edge digital communication system
The newest complex of onboard digital communication equipment has been introduced on the Russian Su-57 multifunctional fighter of the fifth generation, its use will improve the quality of information transfer.
"The complex of communication facilities of the Su-57 advanced multifunctional fighter developed by the Polyot Research and Production Enterprise, which is part of Roselektronika [a Russian state-owned holding company], has been implemented on the aircraft," TASS reports, citing the Roselektronika press service.
The holding also noted that the new communication complex can be used in the future on any aircraft, including those of previous generations.
“The complex operates in the ranges of high and very high frequencies and has increased interference and intelligence protection. The complex also includes noise-resistant coding and decoding devices, a receiver of signals from global navigation satellite systems and a digital signal processing and synchronization bus,” Roselektronika stated.
The company added that the equipment ensures the reliability of information transmission due to noise-resistant coding, interleaving of characters in a message, unified time synchronization during signal processing, the possibility of simultaneous transmission of messages via parallel channels, increasing the range of stable communication.
