Second day of explosions reported in Russia’s Almetyevsk video
Explosions and air-raid sirens were reported for the second consecutive day in the city of Almetyevsk, located in Russia’s Tatarstan region, according to local residents.
The reports were cited by the independent outlet ASTRA, which said witnesses again heard loud blasts across the city.
In response to what authorities described as a drone attack, the Almetyevsk city administration announced temporary restrictions on public transport. Officials stated that the measures were introduced in accordance with safety regulations and urged both passengers and drivers to immediately move to designated shelters.
The latest incident follows events overnight on February 23, when residents reported numerous explosions accompanied by a fire. ASTRA said it geolocated two videos filmed at the scene. Based on the outlet’s analysis, the strike caused a blaze at an oil pumping station located near Almetyevsk, close to the village of Kaleykino.
Emergency services continue assessing the situation, while authorities have focused on safety precautions amid repeated UAV-related incidents in the area.
