Serbia may end visa-free travel for Russian citizens
11 August 2026 15:07
Serbia may revoke its visa-free travel agreement with Russia as part of efforts to align its immigration and visa policies with European Union standards, Serbian Minister of European Integration Tanja Miščević said.
The country aims to meet the conditions for joining the Schengen Area by 2027, according to the minister, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
The potential move would bring Serbia closer to the visa policies of the EU and neighbouring countries that have tightened entry requirements for Russian citizens.
Montenegro, which is also seeking closer integration with the EU, ended visa-free travel for Russian citizens in 2023.
