Several reported killed in US-Israeli strike on Iran’s Larak Island

Several people have been reported killed following what Iranian state-linked outlet SNN described as a US-Israeli strike on Larak Island, near the Strait of Hormuz, early on May 25 local time.

Three of the victims were identified as Abbas Eslami, Ghodrat Zarangari and Abdolreza Golzari, although the total number of casualties has not been independently confirmed, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iran International.

There have also been unverified claims that those killed were affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Earlier, US forces reportedly carried out what they described as “self-defence strikes” in southern Iran, targeting missile launchers and Iranian boats.
