Six civilians killed in rocket strike on Russia’s Belgorod region

Six civilians were killed and four others injured, including a child, in a rocket strike on the village of Koloskovo in Russia’s Belgorod region, local authorities said on August 17.

Acting regional governor Alexander Shuvaev said the attack was carried out by Ukrainian forces and struck the village in the Valuy district, Caliber.Az reports. 

Two of the injured were treated at the scene but declined to be taken to hospital. The remaining casualties, including the injured child, were transported to Valuy Central District Hospital for treatment.

The strike also sparked a fire at a farm building and damaged a car, according to the regional authorities.
